From unemployed to businessman -By Bro Collins

I grew up in a very poor family, my father was working but the money was so little that he couldn’t support us. So when I turned 14, I was joined in with friends and together we would drink a lot of alcohol, use drugs, and had many girlfriends.

When I finished my matric, I wanted to further my studies and become someone in life but there were not enough funds to do it! I borrowed some money and enrolled for security course. I started working but I could never have a permanent job. My desperation got to a point that I began to steal from the companies I was working for!

But not even that solved my problem I was always unemployed and had a lot of debts. Searching for better opportunities, I traveled to JOBURG, P.E, East London and wherever people said it was good. I just wanted to succeed but even in those places, everything just went completely wrong in my life. I ended up thinking that I was born to suffer. 

I saw how one of my friends was really doing well in life. So I asked what he had done and he told me about God. On the same day, I decided to go to church and when I arrived in the church, I saw a difference in my life; I received hope of better days. 

As I joined in the chains of prayer I got new vision for my life. I gave up addiction and surrendered my life to Jesus. From there my life began to change and at the church I learned how to use my faith in the right way. At that time I was working as a security guard and I managed to become one of the best there. I then searched for ways of opening my own security company. I went to courses and seminars to learn how to open my own business and today my life has changed.

I have my own security company with over 150 employees and my company serves very big companies in Joburg. I also have a security-training unit and both businesses are doing very well. Before I came to Jesus, I used to believe that because I wasn’t educated, I could not have a better life. But in the church, I was taught to use my faith in Jesus and that alone was sufficient to make miracles happen!
